This has been a family favorite since we have received it! My son asks to play almost every night and has already, at 4, started to correlate the concept of good attributes canceling out our negative moods 🥹

It’s a fun board game that clearly shows Godly vs worldly attributes that your kids (and yourself) will identify with. It’s a good game of self reflection and teamwork all wrapped up in a fun package.

Loving this new game. Great illustrations and message. We tried it out when we got it and the kids asked to play again yesterday at family game night!

If you're looking for a meaningful activity that brings your family together and points everyone back to Christ, this is one we'll be reaching for again and again.

Game arrived well package. The contents are very well made and produced to an above average level. It would have been exceptional if the cards were made with more sturdy cardstock for young hands to handle and adults for proper shuffling of the decks. Longevity of the cards is questionable at best from first impressions.

The rulebook was easy to understand and learn the game relatively quickly. Comes with a QR code with a “learn to play” video which was nice to have for visual learners.

The game has elements of luck (rolling a 6-sided die), cooperation, and light strategy suitable for children within the suggested age. Balanced game play and great children’s book that accompanies the story.

The bulk of the worth of this game is in the learning opportunities of faith, hope and charity and how to combat sins with its opposite virtue. These teaching points affect everyone, including parents, to reflect on the everyday things of the world that are keeping us from God’s grace.

Great game of it’s kind and well worth the investment.

Upside Down Kingdom is more than just a game-it's a fun way to start conversations about following Jesus and living according to God's Kingdom. Through laughter, challenges, and meaningful moments, it reminds us that God's ways are often the opposite of the world's: serving instead of seeking status, showing humility instead of pride, and loving others the way Christ loves us.

What a fun way to grow in faith together while making memories.

Julia loves playing it with us, and the best part is that it helps you disciple your children! It comes with a hardcover book and a printable companion devotional.

We recently picked up this new game called Upside Down Kingdom, and what a blessing it turned out to be. Not only was it a lot of fun, but it also sparked some great conversations around the table. In a world that's constantly pulling our attention in every direction, it's refreshing to have a game that naturally encourages us to keep God front and center while enjoying quality time together.
Thank you for creating such a meaningful and enjoyable game Upside Down Kingdom Game !!! We can't wait for many more family game nights around the table.

The boys and I played our first game of Upside Down Kingdom yesterday. There faces say it all really, they both loved it and are keen to play again. And my wife commented it was cool to hear the biblical chat as we played.
Definitely recommend this one for those with young gamers.

I received our pledge today and we are so excited to use these resources to reach out to our community!

It's been such a gift.
It's a cooperative game (so we're working together, not against each other 4*), completely screen-free, and centered on bringing the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
But the best part?
•It naturally leads to conversations about Jesus—no forcing, no "sit down and listen," just playing together.
My kids (2 & 5) are obsessed and always ask to play again

It’s been a lot of fun coming home from work each night and the kids asking and begging if we can get it to the table again. I highly encourage you to go check it out.

I love the flavor texts. I am a detailed person and I love the finding all the details in a game. For example the self-control card says, “Had two cookies, ate one, named the other tomorrow”.
It was very intentional of their choosing of the flavor texts and I really enjoyed getting to read those as we played.

This board game is exactly the kind of product I want to use, support with all my might, and shout from the rooftops for every Christian mom to buy! It promotes working together and helping each other, reminds kids of the greatest mission every given - to spread the gospel of King Jesus and his amazing Kingdom of love, and is a fun family game to play together for all ages. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This game is fun! The instructions are laid out a little confusingly, and with 4 players we started running out of Attribute Cards and had to shuffle them back in several times to be able to finish the game. But the idea is fun, the cards are clever and well thought out, and overall we enjoy it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ages is this really good for?

The sweet spot is ages 4–12, with 5–10 being the prime range. Kids as young as 4 can engage with the pawns, cards, and cooperative play. Older kids (and honestly, parents) often find the theological depth surprisingly rich the more they play.

Is this good for church or ministry use?

Absolutely. Kids ministers, VBS directors, and children's ministry teams have already fallen in love with this game. It's a powerful tool for families AND ministry settings. Reach out if you're interested in bulk orders.

What if I order and change my mind?

Reach out to us and we'll work with you. We're a small family team and we treat every customer like a real person — not a transaction.

Is the theology sound? What tradition does this come from?

Upside Down Kingdom is Gospel-centered and theologically conservative, written for evangelical and non-denominational Christian families. The game is built around the character of King Jesus and the good news of the Gospel — truths that span the broader Christian tradition. If you have specific theological questions, feel free to reach out to us directly at vicky@udkgame.com.

Why is this more expensive than other Christian games?

Because it's more than a game. Upside Down Kingdom includes the board game, a hardcover illustrated storybook, a conversation guide, and a printable devotional — all designed with the same beautiful illustration style. Every detail has been crafted with intention. This is a long-term discipleship tool, not a one-time novelty. Most families find they play it again and again — and the conversations it sparks keep coming.
